A week or so ago Heather told me about this free water playground for the children to go to. So, today I decided to take the kiddos out there. We met up with Aunt Heather and Wrenn and a couple of other friends and family. I didn't get to take pics but this little place was pretty cool. I will have to take a picture next time we go. Anyway, Trevor had a blast and Lilly enjoyed it as well. We ended up leaving early after children continually making fun of Lilly. I don't mean to upset anyone but this is our life that I am documenting and I will include happy and sad moments of our lives. As I watched Lilly play by herself, I began to cry (thank God for sunglasses). No one wanted to play with her. Then I watched children point and stare and say things to their friends about our Lilly. It tore me up. I saw this little boy point at Lilly and say "Hey look! He is bald" I was so hurt and angry. My instinct (and I followed my instinct) was to go up to this little boy and grab his arm, I got down to his level and looked him in the eye and I said in a stern, gruff voice "That was mean to say, don't ever do that again! Do you understand me?" And he replied in a quiet voice "Yes." The rest of the time that little fella was there, he just stood there and didn't enjoy his play time. I think I shocked him. Lilly didn't hear him or see him but later she came to me and asked to leave because of children pointing and laughing. She said one little girl defended her and told the other children to leave her alone and that they weren't being nice. Bless that child's parents.
There aren't too many people who get to witness their child being picked on, but let me tell you, it is the most difficult thing that I have ever had to endure in my entire life-bar none!!!! My heart aches and I wish that I could erase this horrible day from my memory and from Lilly's.
I have seen Lilly (with hair) as this courageous, outgoing, friendly child and the Lilly I know now, has become shy, but sometimes confident (she chose to go bald today) but for the most part keeps to herself in public situations.
I don't really ask for prayers. I guess I just try to get through stuff without asking for prayers but I don't think I can get through this without some prayers for all of us. So, please remember us in your prayers and please pray for people who don't have time to instill values, love, and acceptance into their children.

- This is a blog created to record our family's roller coaster ride of a life. In this blog you will read about everyday life with us. You will learn that Lilly loves cheer and Trev is ALL BOY! We are quite the busy family. Besides Lilly's cheer practice that goes on 4 times a week (3 hours each day) we also take Master T to 2 soccer practices a week & one soccer game each weekend. How do we find time to throw the parties & get togethers that we have each month, or do homework, or clean the house, or grocery shop, or just spend time together, you may ask. Skill, people. It is a balancing act.
